Happy 234th Fourth

Just read that "In an early draft of the Declaration of Independence, Jefferson wrote the word 'subjects,' when he referred to the American public. He then erased that word and replaced it with 'citizens,' a term he used frequently throughout the final draft." I'm not sure if I'm fond of being referred to as a subject considering that when used as such it means "a person who is under the dominion or rule of a sovereign", i.e. a monarch; a king, queen, or other supreme ruler. John Adams is way better. Anyway, Happy Fourth of July to all. It's America's 234th birthday and we all need to pitch in to keep her looking beautiful. Have a safe and fun weekend!
