If you sound like a prepubescent male, please step out of the recording booth. I repeat, please step out of the recording booth. I find that I can't listen to the radio without hearing another homogenized replica of the last worst artist. I wonder if people are so brainwashed by the banality of the current music that anything different would go unappreciated. Songs easily adhese themselves in my head. They repeat themselves over and over. I often wonder the effects that this may have on my psyche as so many of the songs are misogynistic, egocentric, and object oriented. Lately I find myself dusting off old relics to listen to. Voltaire said that, "Anything that is too stupid to be spoken is sung." I hear you.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree. Talent seems to have been knocked down the list of requirements to become a professional singer. Seems all you need now is to know someone, that knows someone, that knows someone that knows Lil Wayne or any professional athlete and *POOF*...you're a star. LOL
